Proudly Blogging Catholics

Francis DeBernardo, Director of the US-based New Ways Ministry for LGBT Catholics, will be joined by one of its founders, Sister Jeannine Gramick SL, alongside South African born Terry Weldon, now UK-based, to engage with people who access their LGBT Catholic blogs, Bondingsand Queering The Church, which give progressive international Catholic news and comments on LGBT issues.

Sr. Jeannine was silenced by the Vatican some years ago due to her work with LGBT Catholics, parents and families, but she refused to accept the penalty! Francis DeBernardo and Terry Weldon are both lay-Catholics.

The evening is planned to open up both blogs to a wider audience, and is hosted by the LGBT Catholics Westminster Pastoral Council which is officially mandated by Cardinal Vincent Nichols to develop pastoral ministry with LGBT Catholics, parents and families in Westminster Diocese.

Based at Farm Street Jesuit Church in London's Mayfair, the LGBT Catholics Westminster community is viewed, internationally, as an almost unique LGBT-friendly Catholic ministry.

No booking necessary - just turn up. Refreshments will be available from 6.30pm.
