LGBT+ Pride Picnic

Sunday 02 July 2017

Victoria Park (Photograph: Victoria Park Friends Group)

A special Pride Picnic as part of the Pride in London Festival organised by the Victoria Park Friends Group in collaboration with Tower Hamlets LGBT Forum.

Taking place at the Victoria Park Bandstand, near the park playgrounds, people of all ages are welcome. Bring a blanket, friends, food, drink, and dogs but no BBQ please. A typically eclectic programme sees the WTW Big Band and local favourites Shkembe Soup who bring Arabic/Turkish/Roma Gypsy Music & dance with a rock & roll twist, the ever popular Broken Swing Band bringing tunes and dances from the Swing Era & the fabulous drag artiste Ruby Galore.

The event recognises the diversity of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender communities, plus families and friends.
