Plan your Pride

Residents and businesses

The Parade may affect residents and businesses in Soho and Westminster (Photograph: Lauren Anderson)

We work hard to minimise the impact of the Pride event on local residents and businesses, but there will be some road closures and access restrictions on the day of the Parade that may affect your residential or business address

Parade

The Pride in London event is a parade of walking groups and floats through central London. This will affect parking and vehicle access along the route. It can get very busy along the Parade route, as there are a lot of spectators. The parade forms up in Portland Place from 9am and starts moving at 1pm. It leaves Portland Place and travels along Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street St. James’s, Pall Mall, Cockspur Street, before dispersing in Whitehall at around 4:30pm. Celebratory events will follow on in Soho and Trafalgar Square

Road closures

Road closures will be staggered along the Parade route. This will affect areas around Portland Place, Regent Street, Oxford Street and Whitehall. Some roads in Soho will also be closed. Roads along the route will reopen behind the Parade, with all roads expected to be open by 6:30pm.

Deliveries

Deliveries may be affected by the road closures in your area. We urge you to make alternative arrangements if you are expecting any deliveries within the road closure timings.

Parking restrictions

There will be parking suspensions along the Parade route from midnight on Friday 7 July. Suspension signs will be in place at all affected locations. Any vehicles that remain in suspended bays will be removed.

Resident permit holders in zones E, F and G will be able to park in resident permit holder spaces in zones D, E, F and G zones from 6:30pm on Friday 7 July to 8:30am on Monday 10 July 2017.

If your vehicle is parked in any of the car parks in Soho and you need access to it on Saturday 8 July, you will need to move it no later than midnight on Friday 7 July. Otherwise, you will not be able to access your vehicle until after Pride has finished and roads have reopened in the early hours of Sunday 9 July.
