A souvenir guide of queer history to celebrate the Pride Jubilee
To celebrate the #PrideJubilee, fifty years since the Stonewall Uprising, Pride in London has partnered with the Gay Liberation Front to produce a souvenir queer history. Exploring and documenting LGBT+ life, culture and equality from Ancient Greece to the present day, the guide recalls stories of rights won and lost and summarises the protests, victories and activism that have got the LGBT+ right movement to where it is today.
The Gay Liberation Front was founded in the UK in 1970, just one year after the Stonewall Uprising and Andrew Lumsden, the author of Rainbow Planet, was one of its founding members. He remains a campaigner for queer rights and to this day campaigns for LGBT+ equality in the UK and abroad.
