America in the mid-1980s. In the midst of the AIDS crisis and a conservative Reagan administration, New Yorkers grapple with life and death, love and sex, heaven and hell.

A new staging of Tony Jushner’s multi-award-winning two-part play, with a cast including Andrew Garfield, Denise Gough, Nathan Lane, James McArdle and Russell Tovey.

National Theatre Live broadcasts, in cinemas from 20 July.

Angels in America plays at the National Theatre until 19 August.
