Pride In Writing

  • Talks and Debates

Pride in Writing will be held on the evening of 4th July 2019 from 6:30-8:30pm in partnership with Waterstones Piccadilly, London. The aim is to showcase authors and their books, and start a conversation about LGBTQIA+ authors’ experiences and themes in their work.

We’re delighted that 15 authors will take part in 4 different panel conversations, and have selected the following categories for discussion:  Life Writing (Niven Govinden, Justin Myers, Patrick Gale, Luke Turner)  Queering Genre (Neil Spring, Tasha Suri, Christopher Fowler)  Making History (Stella Duffy, Ben Fergusson, Amy Lamé)  Gender Fluidity (Julie Cohen, CN Lester, Owl & Fox Fisher, Juno Roche)

The evening will be compered by Stella Duffy. After the event there will be a more open book signing and chat on the first floor, open to the public as well as attendees.
