Pride Festival FAQs
Applying to the festival:
What are the photo/logo requirements?
The logo/photo you submit will be used on our website and mobile app to promote your event.
Please upload a high resolution JPG or PNG image (larger than 1600px wide). This should be landscape (wide rather than tall) with no text or logos on it. Uploading a low resolution image will delay your event going live.
Why do you ask for donations to Pride in London to be part of the festival?
Pride in London is funded in part by donations from the people who take part in the festival and on the day. We can’t do it without you! That is why we ask events to donate to us in return for being part of the festival. Please note that we do not ask charities and community groups to donate financially, but if there is anything you can do in terms of donating volunteer hours or other creative support, we appreciate it.
I’m not sure about the venue details, can I change them later?
It is very important that the venue details are correct when you submit your application. Please check that the postcode, street address and venue name are correct, so the venue shows up correctly on a map. If you need to change these later you will have to do this via your festival manager.
I’m not sure about the accessibility arrangements for the venue
At Pride in London we take accessibility very seriously, having been awarded Gold by Attitude is Everything in 2018. To ensure as many of our community can access our festival, we ask for you to double check the access arrangements for your venue before you submit, and if possible, choose a venue with accessibility in mind.
Do I have to apply through the form?
All events must be submitted through our submissions form, as this is how data about your event is uploaded to our website.
I’ve missed the deadline, can I still apply?
We ask you to apply before the deadline, as this gives our festival team adequate time to check and approve all applications, including time to talk to you about the event. If you need additional time please email email@example.com as soon as possible so we can talk to you further.
Can I talk to someone about my event prior to applying?
You can email the team on firstname.lastname@example.org and one of us will be in touch ASAP.
Once you’ve applied:
How long till you are assigned a festival manager?
Everyone on the festival team is a volunteer, and as such we may take a little time to assign. We will be in touch within two weeks of your application
I haven’t heard from my festival manager
If you can’t get in contact with your assigned manager please email us on email@example.com and we will be happy to help connect you
How do I change the event details?
If you need to change any of the details on your application, please let your festival manager know as they can update your application for you
How long will approval take?
This will depend on how much information you give us to start with! If you try to make sure you fill in as much of the form as you can, in as much detail, it will be quicker for us to check and approve your application.
