Pride in London’s month-long Pride Festival returns with over 100 LGBT+ events across the capital
This year’s Pride Festival kicks off today and will run for a whole month, culminating in the Pride in London Parade on Saturday 6th July. With an event programme ranging from ping pong and drag brunches, through to an under-18s talent competition - there’s something for everyone across the capital this Pride month.
The Pride Festival is London’s biggest LGBT+ Festival where volunteers and community groups come together to showcase everything it means to be LGBT+ in the capital today. The theme for this year’s Pride in London is #PrideJubilee, and Festival-goers and Parade marchers alike are encouraged to think about the moments from the last 50 years that they feel have made Pride what it is today.
The programme features a diverse range of events, from cabaret shows, talks and film screenings through to walking tours, picnics in the park and even sporting events - as well as events at iconic venues such as the Science Museum and the National Gallery.
“For the fourth year in a row we’ve filled our Pride Festival with an exciting programme of over 100 events, curated by the community, for the community,” said Simon Jones, Events Director at Pride in London. “We are thrilled to launch our most diverse and inclusive Festival yet and showcase the best events the LGBT+ community has to offer in the capital.
