The Pride in London Board has today announced that the long-standing and dedicated volunteer Siobhan Linard has been appointed to be the new Director of Operations.
Siobhan is a highly experienced and respected member of the Operations team, having volunteered for a number of years and latterly being one of Rob Anderson’s Deputy Directors.
She brings a wealth of planning, implementation and procurement expertise to the Ops role, has great vision for the future of the event and adding tremendous value to the decision-making of the Board.
Her appointment, following the announcement of Alison Camps’ promotion to Co-Chair is further evidence of the organisation’s commitment to enhancing diversity at senior levels.
The appointment follows the recent departure of Rob Anderson who has dedicated many years to Pride, turning Pride in London into one of the UK's biggest and best events.
Alison Camps, Co-Chair of Pride in London said:
“Siobhan's appointment is great news. She is a massive talent, and embodies all that is good about Pride in London.
“Siobhan started volunteering as a Senior Steward, and is living proof of how it's possible to progress through the organisation to take on roles at the most senior levels.
“Obviously, it was sad for us to say farewell to Rob Anderson, who did such a fantastic job in the role before, but I'm certain that Siobhan will help us take the event to new heights.”
“I'm delighted and honoured to be leading the Operations at Pride in London, as together year on year we build better and bigger events to serve our community.
“I believe that Pride in London should be the world's best pride and we have a brilliant team in place to plan and deliver that future vision. I'm thrilled to take on this role and work closely with all our strategic partners. After all, there are only 200 days to go.”
