VOLUNTEERING
ON-THE-DAY VOLUNTEERS
Pride in London doesn’t just happen; it is planned, built, and brought to life by an incredible community of over 150 year-round and more than 1,500 on-the-day volunteers.
As one of the largest and most vibrant celebrations of LGBTQIA+ visibility in the world, our event relies entirely on the energy, dedication, and passion of people just like you. Whether you are looking to give back to the community, gain invaluable event experience, or simply be at the very center of London’s most joyful day, there is a vital role waiting for you.
From the first arrival at the form-up gates to the final cleanup at dispersal, our volunteers power every single square inch of the event’s delivery. We have opportunities spanning across all operations: guide spectacular parade groups, support world-class talent backstage, manage bustling crowd flows, assist marketing and communications teams, or support our vendors and community partners.
Whatever you want to do, know you’ll act as an essential point of safety and inclusion for the millions of spectators lining the streets. No matter where your unique skills lie, we will place you where you can make the biggest impact.
Volunteering with Pride in London is more than a single day of service - it’s an unforgettable experience of unity, connection, and belonging. You will work alongside a passionate, diverse team, build lifelong friendships, and stand on the front lines of year-round LGBTQIA+ advocacy and protest.
We welcome people of all backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels, providing full training and support every step of the way.
The energy of the city is waiting, and we cannot do this without you. Take your place in history, uplift our community, and help us deliver a safe, spectacular Pride.
YEAR-ROUND VOLUNTEERS
While our on-the-day volunteers bring the parade to life, it is our dedicated team of more than 150 year-round volunteers that lays the foundational groundwork to make Pride in London possible.
These long-term leadership and specialist roles are designed for more experienced volunteers or those looking to strategically advance their professional capabilities.
Working across core departments - from operations, marketing, and logistics to community engagement and event management - you will take ownership of substantial projects that offer deep, constructive opportunities to learn, problem-solve, and innovate.
Being part of this core planning team allows you to build profound, long-lasting personal and professional relationships. You will collaborate closely with like-minded professionals, industry mentors, and passionate community advocates, creating a powerful network that extends far beyond the event itself. The bond built through months of shared vision and collective effort translates into lifelong friendships and a supportive professional community that champions your growth.
We understand the demands of modern schedules, which is why Pride in London does not enforce a rigid minimum hours commitment for our year-round team. To help you balance your time effectively, we advise planning for approximately 10 to 15 hours a month at a minimum as we enter our peak planning phase beginning in April. This flexible yet impactful structure ensures you can deeply contribute to shaping the future of Pride while managing your personal and professional life. Take your place behind the scenes and help us engineer London’s most iconic celebration of visibility and protest.
