Eat, Pace, Plan
First things first, if you’re planning on drinking alcohol, eat beforehand! You know what they say about drinking on an empty stomach. Going alcohol-free? Good on you; there are plenty of options for you to enjoy just as much as the real thing. If you are drinking on the other hand, know your limits and pace yourself. The NHS One You – Drink Less app is perfect for keeping track of how much you’re drinking and spending.
Keep a water bottle handy throughout the day (you’ll thank yourself the next morning) and guard your drinks — along with other valuables like your bag and phone. Thinking about walking home? Don’t go it alone, especially if you’ve had a long day drinking. Look after those who need to find their way back, and remember: you’ll still have alcohol in your system the morning after, so don’t drive!
Travelling to Central London
Travel into and around central London will be extremely busy, so please take extra caution and plan ahead where possible to avoid delays.
Pride in London 2023 attracted 1.5 million spectators and broke the all-time record. We may be setting a new record this year. So do plan ahead, allow more time for your journeys and travel early if possible.
For Parade participants, the TfL recommends arriving at Marble Arch or Bond Street.
For those wanting to view the Parade or attend the events on Trafalgar Square or in Soho, the TfL recommends arriving at Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Waterloo or Embankment.
TfL also advises that some bus routes in central London will be on diversion or stopping short of their usual destination due to road closures.
For the most up-to-date travel advice on the day, please consult the TfL website or the TfL Go app directly before you head out.
Note that mobile network reliability may be impacted due to large crowds—do consider this when making plans to meet others at the event.
Thank you for joining us!
