A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

A headshot of Rebecca Paisis, the CEO, in a white shirt against a blurred park background

2026 was a year of unity, resilience and renewed ambition for Pride in London

This Impact Report is an incredibly proud moment for me, our leadership team and the year-round volunteers who make Pride in London possible.

Independent research commissioned in partnership with the Greater London Authority found that 97% of people surveyed rated their Pride in London 2026 experience as good or very good, 95% felt the event successfully reflected and celebrated the LGBTQIA+ community, and 90% said attending made them feel part of London’s cultural and community life.

These are more than metrics. They are testament to what can be achieved through unity, resilience and a shared commitment to LGBTQIA+ equality and visibility.

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, partners, community organisations and stakeholders

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, partners, community organisations and stakeholders. Pride in London simply could not happen without the time, energy, expertise and commitment you give us.

Our campaign, Many Voices. One Front., reflected the breadth of challenges and injustices LGBTQIA+ communities continue to experience, while reinforcing the importance of solidarity in creating progress. Across the Parade, six stages, community programmes, communications and partnerships, we brought people together and created spaces where our communities could feel seen, represented and that they belong.

The feedback gathered this year has helped identify where we can go further: supporting more grassroots organisations, making Pride more accessible, broadening community representation and demonstrating meaningful, measurable impact throughout the year.

Rebuilding, strengthening and laying the foundations for what comes next

2026 was also a year of significant organisational change.
We strengthened our governance, established a dedicated DE&I team and appointed two new Co-Chairs, Yeme Onoabhagbe and Dominic Arnall, who I warmly welcome to Pride in London.

We must also recognise the funding pressures facing Pride organisations. Sustained funding and long-term partnerships are essential if we are to continue creating visibility, championing equality and supporting the communities we exist to serve.

This report is therefore not simply a record of what we delivered. It is an account of what we learned, what we made possible together and where we have the opportunity to deliver and demonstrate greater impact.

We are proud of our outcomes, but we know impact is not measured by statistics alone

Our ambition is for Pride in London to be more than a moment in the calendar. We want to use our platform, partnerships and collective energy to create lasting impact for London’s LGBTQIA+ communities throughout the year.

Our bid to host WorldPride 2032 reflects that ambition and our belief in London as a city where LGBTQIA+ people from around the world can come together, be visible, be heard and belong.

The work for 2027 has already begun. Together, we will continue to champion unity, increase visibility and advance equality for all LGBTQIA+ communities.

HOW WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Our impact begins with visibility, but it grows through participation. Throughout the year, Pride in London sits at the point where community, culture, public life, and partnership meet, using community engagement, funding, communications, and partnerships to live our values of LGBTQIA+ unity, visibility, and equality.

The impact of Pride cannot be measured by attendance alone - it is visible in who participates, who is represented, who is supported, and what people experience as a result.

Through our work, we amplify visibility by putting LGBTQIA+ people, organisations, culture, and issues in public spaces and across media. We build collective support by bringing together public bodies, community organisations, businesses, volunteers, and audiences.

We create belonging by giving people opportunities to see themselves reflected and celebrate alongside others.

We unite communities through the Parade, volunteering, accessible event spaces, stages, and community activity.

We enable participation through funding, relationships, and opportunities for organisations to connect and be heard.

Finally, we listen and improve by using feedback and evidence to understand what worked and where change is needed.
